Donvier Chillfast 1 Quart Ice Cream Maker - Select from Pink, Yellow, Blue or White Trim

Still a winner after more than 20 years
A very simple concept: keep the ice cream freezer in your freezer. Then you can easily make ice cream without any rock salt mess and no electricity whenever you have the ingredients (basically cream, milk, sugar, flavorings). Could probably use to make frozen yogurt, too, if you check out one of the recipes on the web. Fun to use for all ages. Have had mine for more than 20 years & have often given it as a gift.

Love this ice cream maker!
This is the ice cream maker I had as a child (70s-90s), and it's the ice cream maker I'm using with my children, too. In fact, I'm shopping for an extra as an heirloom for each of my kids! It's solidly built - just freeze the inner core, mix all ingredients together, and then pour into the frozen center and stir. Homemade ice cream in about an hour (or less). So easy-peasy, and the kids love the hand-crank!

got it at a goodwill!!
so Ive been shopping for an icecream maker what seems like forever!! but with all the brands and types and styles I just could never make up my mind. Then one day I happened to be at a goodwill store not looking for anything special and here I see the DONVIER CHILLFAST ICE CREAM MAKER for $5!! I like what it said in the box, no electricity, no salt needed or any special thing. the manual was still in the box so it was a done deal for me. Who knew that the simplicity of making homemade icecream and sorbets and yogurts could be the thing for me. It could really be that simple!! I love it! and every recipe I've tried has been great. and from the price ranges Ive seen on Amazon, I sure got a great deal at my local goodwill!
