Chinese quality, and poor packaging
I was originally attracted to this wine fridge because of the 97-bottle capacity and the price. Unfortunately, it did not meet my expectations. The first unit arrived damaged, with the front glass broken out, a bent/broken handle, and many deep scratches on the sides. To their credit, Beverage Factory (which owns the Allavino brand) customer service was quick to ship out a replacement unit, and were friendly to deal with.
The replacement unit arrived intact, but with the same deep scratches and a dent in the side. I inspected their packaging a bit closer and realized they are missing the blue plastic tear-offs that every other manufacturer uses to prevent scratches during shipping. The box is also not very sturdy, so a small bump could result in unseen damage to the unit inside.
Build quality of the fridge is poor, with panels that don't fit together properly, a crooked door, and a loud compressor. The glass and "stainless steel" accents were filthy, with...
Not Worth It
Do not waste your money on this particular wine refrigerator. I have had it for only one month, and two shelf brackets have already broken off. This is made very cheaply and is not sturdy. I will not buy another Allavino product.
