Byrd Duckfoot Sharpener

an OK product, but not great or fancy
takes a lot of passes to unevenly sharpen a slightly dull knife. when I say a lot, I mean about 40 minutes worth of light strokes. Followed by 2 passes on my stones created a reasonably sharp and smooth edge.

Did not make a difference on my scissors.

Great Idea and design, but I must be doing something wrong.
I just got my Duckfoot NEW and I tried using it after carefully watching the instructional DVD.

I have a few old straight edge knives which had so-so sharpness and I was looking forward to restoring them to their original sharpness.

Well, after much frustration, I am just not getting anywhere. My two blades are still dull and I don't know what I am doing wrong. I have since tried the same entire sharpening process multiple times, and I am still not getting the blades very sharp. Ugg...

I compared them to the sharpness of a brand new Fallkniven F1 which I could shave with if I wanted to, that is a super sharp knife. I know I may not be able to achieve this level of sharpness, but I am...
